Today's weaving.....I can't wait to get it off the loom, but some way to go yet!!

Inspiring colours for future weavings!!  It's so exhilarating to know that Spring is just around the corner......

Im pushing on with weave no. 2..........at this stage, I am playing around with different effects, but won't really know the result until the weaving is off the loom and has been washed.  I had a good selling day yesterday and made enough to cover the cost of the loom.  I am running a training course on Saturday (serious stuff) and should make enough to buy another loom!!  (or....lots of dyes....)

My second weaving is now under way...I'm finding that weaving is becoming quite addictive....my loom sits there awaiting my return!  I'm also now busy planning colours to dye and spin for future masterpieces.  I can see that this is going to keep me busy for a while.  I've already had two people asking me to make them scarves.......we shall see...........

I'm just beginning to emerge from the dark depths of flu....very nasty and exhausting, but I've come to the conclusion that I shall survive!!  Anyway, just to wet your appetite, I have finished my very first woven scarf, and I must say not only did I absolutely love the weaving process, but I am very pleased with the result.  I have definitely found my forte and have plans for many, many more creations.  I'll put more photos on later when I have more energy!

The beginnings of a new art cloth. I have now successfully warped up on my own.  Not nearly as difficult as I had feared.......so am now on a roll with my second piece.  I have just ordered a book from Amazon on making clothes with hand woven cloth.  There's no stopping me.....
