I'm beginning to emerge from my stupor and feel slightly less battered than anticipated.  The surgeon was such a nice man and we were chatting throughout the procedure.  At one point he did threaten to completely remove my nose but we both agreed that it could make things rather awkward!!  Since I came home I have hardly left my chair and look what I'm doing........knitting!!  It actually feels quite self-indulgent, and is giving me a chance to make up some smaller items for an Open Houses exhibition next month.  I feel so lucky to have things that I so enjoy doing.........dogs look a bit fed up though because they haven't been out for a walk yet..(and they won't be going for a couple of days...)

Looking around ..  there's always some inspiration out there, but I never tire of flowers. Their colours and shapes are amazing - you can't beat nature for beauty.  Talking about beauty - for the next few days I shall probably look as though I've walked into a brick wall because later on today I'm having a minor op at the local hospital to have a small cancer cut out of my nose!!!  I had one cut out about 15 years ago - and I certainly didn't look a beauty then!!

I couldn't believe it this morning when I woke up and saw.........wait for it........the SUN!!!!  Gosh, was I excited.  Unfortunately I blinked, and it disappeared!!  Hey ho.....at least I always have my favourite colours to fall back on.  I do try to make myself work with a wide range of colours but I always get drawn back to the blues/greens..maybe it has something to do with living by the sea!  Had a fabulous long walk on the downs yesterday afternoon, and then discovered a really good farm shop.  I couldn't resist buying some gorgeous frozen blackberries - so yes, you've guessed it - we gorged on a really good crumble last night!!  Today I'm going to walk it off again - and then we are all going to the Interwok cafe in Worthing where you can help yourself to a vast array of oriental good...followed by chocolate fountain.  Anyone would think we enjoyed our food!  Have a good day x

Had a great day in London yesterday going to the Picasso Exhibition and then on the the British Museum. I also stopped off at the new Gudrun Sjoden shop in Covent Garden where I took the photos of the table and terrecotta pots - then on to see patterns created many thousands of years ago - I find it quite sobering to realise that for centuries man has been creating and our own contributions are so minute.....

My plan yesterday was to make a large, flat felt piece -  look at the result!!  I haven't felted for a while so I think I've lost my touch!!!  Never mind, Val, Naomi and I had a very happy morning...ending up by eating several cheese scones!  I've just been out walking and swimming - and am now energised to get on with my day - I hope you have a good one x

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain - it doesn't stop me enjoying playing in my 'art room' and as you can see, I'm never short of company! (would someone please tell George that she isn't a cat.  She will insist on trying to fit her huge body into the cat's bed - and I'm afraid she overflows somewhat!!) Today I am hoping to make some felt.  I  shall start by carding some of my dyed fleece - and see what I come up with.

We had a good knitting group yesterday with the usual chatting and chewing!!  I proudly showed off my new crocheting skills.....I have quite a pile of squares now. Also today I have a couple of train journeys....so more activity on the woolly front!  I did some dyeing yesterday even though it wasn't wonderful drying weather...I simply can't wait for summer to arrive.  I'm sure 99% of the British population feel the same.  Anyway, whatever the weather, Have a Nice Day x
