I am deciding today whether or not to do a local 11 week course on creative journals. I feel I've become a bit stale and could do with a kick start.  Is it a bit stupid to do this course during a period of house moving etc etc. or would it focus me?  I shall decide later today.......(at this stage I'm thinking it would do me good!!)  Maybe you'll see some stunning results....???

What a visual treat!  The displays of these fruit and vegetables are a part of the cafe I talked about yesterday.  I am quite sure that a good ambiance makes food taste better.  I keep on thinking that I must start a journal - maybe concentrating of fruit and vegetable designs....the shapes and colours are scrumptious...so, what's stopping me? ?  Watch this space....

I discovered a brilliant cafe yesterday - the atmosphere was buzzing and the coffee and cake was pretty good too!  This will definitely go on my favourite list.....a bonus of this visit was that I saw my niece who was sitting chatting with friends -   we had been unable to see other at Christmas because of illness, so we both laughed and said we should have brought each others' Christmas presents with us. Then Karen said, "well actually yours was your birthday present, but I re-wrapped it for Christmas!!"  Perhaps she should keep it for next birthday??!

More crochet squares.......I have been spending the last few evenings joining all my squares together.  I think I shall keep on adding more squares to this throw - and also to another one that will shortly be completed.......I can then use the throws as shawls as well - multi purpose!!  I can't believe how long it all takes, but, like knitting, I do find the whole process really therapeutic.  Considering I only really learned to make these crochet squares last summer I suppose I'm quite pleased with myself!!  Today I'm off with a friend to a brilliant art  wholesale store.  I must make sure I watch my spending because pennies are running in rather short supply at the moment! Enjoy your day!

My  love affair with woollen yarns continues,  Throughout the winter I have continued to knit, crochet and spin......dyeing remains  a summer activity.  In fact, yesterday I was fantasising about a new workshop/shed in our (hopefully) new home.  I need to have a messy area because I simply cannot be clean once I am surrounded by paints and dyes......I wandered around a local garden centre to look at some fantastic workshops - unfortunately they are fantastic prices as well.  Keep dreaming!!

Had a good day yesterday and the cats are now back in West Sussex and seem to be settling in well in their temporary home.....lots of miaows in the car...but panic now over.  It was brilliant to meet up for lunch with friends in Bexhill...such a bond has formed - and mainly because of our knitting group!! I simply couldn't resist taking the picture of George watching her favourite wildlife programme .......she's such a telly addict!

I was happy when Jack thought he would herald in the New Year by doing some painting......even in my temporary living conditions I have managed to snaffle a few paints etc.....in fact I keep telling myself I should have a lot of time on my hands at the moment which I could use creatively - but, somehow, I seem to be spending a lot of time with friends and family, so production is in the slow lane......today I'm back to Bexhill to dine with friends, and collect my cats!  Have a good day x
