The coat of many colours is progressing.  It's great fun - a it like making up a jigsaw puzzle....I've now got to figure out how to piece it together, but I'm determined to do it.  Whether or nor it ever gets worn isn't really a problem because it looks good on my trusted dummy model, Betty!

Had a good time spinning alpaca fleece yesterday.  I hadn't realised how gorgeous alpaca is.....so soft and light.  I'll definitely be doing more of that.  It was a fab. day with lots of sunshine...unfortunately I had to leave early because I had yet another nosebleed.....don't know what's happening to my head...hey ho!

A certain furry friend made things quite difficult when I was trying to be efficient and sew linings etc. for my felted knit bags!!  He was extremely happy to sit and survey all the intricacies of the sewing machine.  I did manage to get some work done however!!  This morning the sun is shining and things are warming up....it's going to be a fab. day and I shall be spending it at the Spring Fair at Ardingley, spinning alpaca....yippee!

What happy colours......reds and oranges bring a smile to my face.  They are so energising.....in fact the whole psychology of colour is fascinating.  I am itching to get on with some dyeing and painting..but will not really be able to get going until my shed is  installed in a month or so.  But I am so enjoying spinning, embellishing and everything else...and of course am enjoying the sunshine!!  Wonderful.... have a good weekend x

How quirky is this?  On my way to the local library I came across this knitted wonder.....I love the maypole.  I think it's brilliant when we can enjoy a bit of creative nonsense like this......perhaps we should all think this way sometimes....creativity for it's own sake!

I have just changed the format of my blog (probably temporarily) because my blogger is becoming increasingly difficult to manoeuvre.  Simply click on the appropriate picture, and that day's blog will come up. Hope you can manage this ok x

The local Next garden centre displays things so well....I love the subtle colours of these flowers......I wish my garden looked like that, but it doesn't and never will!!! In my experience, dogs, cats, kids and gardens don't mix!!
