Here is my very first offering on my table loom.  I know I have a lot to learn, but I am completely in love with weaving and have all sort of plans for creating amazing garments.    It will probably take a year to make a jacket, but I look forward to the challenge!! 

I absolutely love my new loom......like a child with a new toy!!

Some of this winter's spun stash....so....I am now ready to start using my new loom.  I envisage long woven pieces of silk,wool and dyed yarns of all kinds.  we shall see!

I am enjoying doing weaving samples of my handspun/dyed wool. ...my new weaving loom has arrived today.  We now need to assemble it - and then - I shall get going!  Watch this space.....

Ive just been browsing through old sketchbook pages.......it reminds me that I must do some more!!  This is probably a good time of year to concentrate on small sketches.  It's certainly too wet and cold to be outside dyeing wool and generally messing about in my art hut!

I;ve just had a great day and spent the whole time weaving with a group of equally obsessed women!!   A really good workshop run by two very experienced tutors....bliss!!

Here's my latest batch of art yarn.  This time I have added some glitter ..... I'm pleased with the results.  Not sure what this could be used for - but I guess if could be knitted/woven into something whacky - or even stitched and embellished onto cloth.    Meanwhile - I shall continue to experiment - although I must say dyeing isn't so easy for me to do in the cold weather...roll on summer....!!

Welcome 2015!!  I enjoyed my New Year's dog walk yesterday.  I'm now full of good intentions to push on with weaving, dyeing and spinning and all things textiley (if there's such a word!)  Happy New Year everyone X
