CENTERING WITH FIBER: Saori different weaving loom heights , students and Saori scarves  I simply love this blog and am so grateful for the inspiration!

Just off the loom....my next project is The Jacket......I went as far as looking at dress patterns yesterday (I haven't made clothes for centuries so shall need to brush up on my dressmaking skills!)  So a lot of thought and activity ahead.  I'm already spinning/dyeing.  I'll keep you posted!

Work in progress.....I have spent some time spinning and dyeing in a new colour way and then - hopefully - I shall bring it all together in my latest weaving.  The only problem is .... there are just not enough hours in the day.......One of the things I enjoy the most is to see how the different colours merge and mix.  It's always exciting to see what will happen.  I must be off now as I have three lots of dogs to walk...a visit to the dentist...supervision work for the more serious side of my life (I have always thought it 's important to keep a balanced life!!!) I got quite a shock when my fleece moved!!   I finally gave in and have now made a fleece basket especially for my boys!!  Never mind, I've done loads of spinning and now have a basketful of luscious yarns ready for my next weaving project.  Cant wait to get going....

Weaving no. 2 is now off the loom....not quite sure yet what I shall do with this piece.....I may keep it for making up into a jacket or something.......Today I plan to warp up a new piece, and am already spinning and dyeing in readiness!!  I love it.......

Now the weather is beginning to perk up, dyeing is once again on the agenda.  I am quite pleased with this batch and an already planning how to use them.  It's fascinating to see how the different yarns take up the dye differently.  The silk skeins (pale greens and purples) were in the same depot as the yellow and red skeins of wool.  I never know what the results will be - which is probably why I enjoy the process so much!!
