Back home

I'm back from cruising the Caribbean. I must say its a bit of a shock coming home to the English weather!! We had a really great time and I've had plenty of inspiration ready (hopefully) for a creative winter!

I finished this scarf yesterday .......it is now washed and ready for finishing when I return from my trip to the Caribbean!!  I am all packed up and nearly ready to go.  Hopefully I shall take lots of photos and get plenty of inspiration.  I have packed some paints....but no yarn!±    I think I shall be too busy eating and lazing around.  So, this is a short post but I'm sure I'll have a lot to say in a couple of weeks!

Well, I have finally finished The Coat.  In the end I have only lined the sleeves.  It is more comfortable like this as I found the silk lining of the body of the coat made it very slippery.  It's all a learning curve - but the good news is, I do feel that I shall actually wear it!  We have been having glorious weather this week and I have really enjoyed the great outdoors.....I just love living in Sussex by the sea. so here are some of this week's pics.  I shall be taking a break for the rest of this month as we have friends staying this week and then we are off on our Disney Cruise in the Caribbean (with many thanks to my daughter who is treating me, together with two of my grandchildren).  We went on a Disney cruise in the Med 4 years ago and it was absolutely brilliant - utter escapism and extremely good food!
