I spotted this bike in a charming little display outside a florist's shed...couldn't resist taking a photo! As you can see, I had a rather a mad moment and splashed water colour on to my journal pages. No idea what it's supposed to be - but I shall add to it and see what happens. My latest woven piece has just come off the loom. This has a linen warp and so far it feels fine. I shall know definitely when it has dried after being washed....I'm pleased with the reds as they certainly help to cheer up dark days. Having said that look at the beautiful morning we had yesterday...fabulous to know that the sun is still up there!!!

You can tell that Christmas is coming when you visit London! The window displays were amazing..........I simply love all the reds and greens.....strange that these are the colours that I am weaving at the moment. We went to an incredible show in the West End called The Illusionists...I really do recommend it - an evening of pure fantasy and enjoyment! As much as I love London, its good to get back to the open space of the south coast. The weather yesterday was pretty awful - I nearly got blown over by the incredibly strong wind!! Today has been lovely and finally I was able to dog walk up on the Downs before coming home and doing some.....guess what?? ....weaving! Have a good week x

Even in this dull November it is possible to find beauty.....I think these roses are glorious. They stand there valiantly battling the remains of hurricane Abigail.....bless them. Needless to say, I have been weaving this week.. This piece turned out shorter than anticipated but I have just measured it and and it is big enough to make the front of a new coat....so much to my surprise, I am over halfway through my next piece of wearable art!!! As I said in my previous blog entry, I have just opened my Etsy shop and plan to put things in as and when they are complete.....but my mind is also on a couple of exhibitions that are due to take place next year. I am thinking of Art Nouveau designs. This week I am going to London for a couple of days and shall try and fit in a visit to the V & A. I'm sure I'll get some inspiration there!.. Have a good week everybody x

Probably because the weather is deteriorating, I feel hungry for the sunshine....hence the yellows!! Also I couldn't resist slipping in a photo of Italy....I just love the patchwork effect of the fields.......The blue scarf is now off the loom, and tonight I have started another one. . I am ready to begin weaving a coat - but I have sold yet more scarves, so want to make sure I have at least two when I open my Etsy shop at the end of the month. I had planned to have a stock of 6 - but it didn't work out!! I am becoming more and more relaxed whilst weaving.....I put my headphones on and play music - I am then transported to another zone. It's wonderful, and so relaxing. At least I am happily occupied during the dark nights.......Have a good week x

I couldn't get the blogger to work last night, but this morning magic!! Back to normal. Have managed some dyeing, spinning and of course, weaving. Over the weekend I decided to have a splurge at starting a new art journal. My latest one is at a local stitch exhibition (as you can see in the photo). Yesterday two ladies were looking at it, and I heard one of them say, "you can see she was really enjoying herself!" What a lovely comment....I nearly went over to them and said, "I certainly was" but I decided to keep it cool, for fear of embarrassing them!! The blue scarf is my last one before opening the Etsy shop - drum roll......and then its definitely another coat. I have felt a bit under the weather this week, and therefore had extended weaving time. It was wonderful! Well the sun is shining today and its unseasonably warm. We can almost pretend its summer,,,,yay!
